Sports
The JRU Heavy Bombers
basketball team missed its third chance in as many years to garner the NCAA
Senior Basketball Championship when it came out on the short end of a best-of-three
championship series with San Sebastian College last October 2001.
Last year, the Heavy Bombers swept the first round and reached the semi-finals,
but lost to San Sebastian College. The championship itself went to College of
Saint Benilde.
Two years ago, it also lost the championship finals on a best-of three basis
to Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
As we have been saying for the past three years now: just you wait until next
year!
Go Bombers!
